At this workshop, arranged by the EASI ZERo project partners, you’ll discover an innovative portfolio of easy-to-install building envelope components—engineered for rapid, whole-building retrofits targeting near-zero energy consumption and carbon emissions.
The path to EU climate neutrality by 2050 depends on a dramatic increase in deep renovation—transforming existing buildings to dramatically reduce energy demand based on their specific type and climate. Currently, the EU’s deep renovation rate is only 0.2% per year, far below the 3% annual target needed by 2030. To meet both 2030 and 2050 goals, the rapid deployment of efficient, scalable, and replicable renovation solutions across Europe is essential.
The EASI ZERo workshop will present a portfolio of innovative, easy-to-install building envelope components designed to achieve near-zero energy use and CO₂ emissions. This holistic approach covers all aspects of the building envelope—including façades, roofs, openings, and integrated options for renewable energy generation and storage.
Highlights include EASI ZERo’s latest developments in:
These products are optimized to lower embodied energy and CO₂ emissions, improve thermal resistance, and reduce installation time.
The workshop will also showcase EASI ZERo’s multi-scale testing—from laboratory and wall-scale prototypes to building-scale simulations. Participants will see how these solutions can reduce energy consumption to under 50 kWh/m²/year and limit carbon emissions to just 4 kgCO₂/m²/year, while maintaining strong performance across diverse buildings.
